25 years after business school, something kept nagging at me…
Despite being part of exciting projects in marketing, operations, and sales, I often saw a similar pattern – Great technology, smart teams—but disappointing outcomes.
We’d roll out new tools, train the teams, maybe even rebrand the process—but the adoption wasn’t there. The ROI wasn’t clear. And too often, we chalked it up as the cost of doing business in a “digital” world.
So, like many professionals trying to keep up, I dove into certifications—Python, Data Analytics, Blockchain, AI Tools, etc…
Useful? Absolutely. But they still felt like pieces of a larger puzzle.
It wasn’t until I pursued my Master of Science in Digital Transformation that things began to click. I explored user-centric adoption models, and that led me to system thinking, design thinking, and how important it is for process and content experts to drive the tech—not the other way around.
Still, something was missing. Most projects lacked structured data collection to optimize over time. We weren’t measuring what mattered—or we were doing it too late.
That insight nudged me toward Six Sigma, and more recently, I’ve completed my Black Belt certification. It’s helped tie everything together. Now, I can finally say I have a toolkit that’s broad, deep, and structured enough to support real change—whether in business strategy or digital transformation.
As I look ahead, I’m excited to bring this experience to both my consulting clients and my college students, helping them think holistically about innovation and outcomes.
